Agricultural engines that meet all requirements

Having been collaborating closely with Volvo Penta to field-test its new Stage V D16 engine, leading agriculture manufacturer ROPA is finding it is providing high-power and reliability to its Tiger 6 harvester.

“During the very short harvest season, many of our machines run 1,000 or more hours. If the engine fails or performs poorly then that means loss of productivity and income for farmers. Therefore, the engines in our machines need to be fuel-efficient, have high power, high torque, high performance at low speeds, a good service network and outstanding durability.”

Mining engines meeting tough demands

Underground mining and tunneling company Normet has installed Volvo Penta’s Stage V solution in its new L-Series platform. This includes 12 different products: transmixers, agitators, fuel, water, multi-purpose and material carriers, a sprayer, dumper and charging unit. It’s the first time the company has used Volvo Penta engines and, thanks to the successful partnership and good results, it’s already planning to roll the engines out in other products – such as the Stage IIIA versions of the L-Series machines.
